Terms of Service
Last updated: February 10, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SkillShield (skillshield.dev), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
2. What We Provide
SkillShield is a directory of AI skills and MCP servers. We provide:
- A searchable database of skills/MCPs
- Security scan results and risk ratings
- Links to external sources
- API access for programmatic queries
3. What We Don't Do
Important: We do not host, distribute, or execute any skills or code. We only index metadata and provide security analysis. All links go to third-party sources.
We do not guarantee:
- That any skill is safe to use
- The accuracy of security scan results
- That external links work or are safe
- Availability of the service
4. Security Scanning
Our security scans use automated analysis. They can miss vulnerabilities or flag safe code. Our risk ratings are advisory only — not a guarantee of safety.
Always review code yourself before using any skill. Never run untrusted code in production environments.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape the site or API excessively
- Attempt to breach security
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Interfere with other users' access
We may block users who abuse the service.
6. API Usage
Our API is provided for reasonable use. We may rate-limit or block excessive requests. Commercial use may require prior arrangement.
7. Intellectual Property
SkillShield content (design, code, scan results) is our property. Skill metadata belongs to respective authors/sources. We claim no ownership over third-party skills.
8. Limitation of Liability
SkillShield is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Damages from using any skill or MCP
- Security breaches or data loss
- Service downtime
- Content on external sites
Your use of any skill is at your own risk.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
